May 2021 Update- Covid Regulation Update

A Message from the Head of School

Covid Regulation Update - May 5, 2021

Dear Meadowbrook Parent,
As you probably heard yesterday, Governor Wolf announced that he is lifting many of the State Covid regulations on Memorial Day. Here is a link to his announcement.
While I am personally excited and a bit relieved, I am also mindful of the sensitive nature of this pandemic for many members of our community. Since The Meadowbrook School must follow CDC guidelines and await any modifications from Montgomery County, we plan to maintain our Health & Safety guidelines for the remainder of this school year. After all, what we've done this year has worked!
Obviously, I am encouraged that this news should enable us to do more next year and create some flexibility around some of our summer programs. Although, I am not fully dismantling the effective mitigation strategies yet, especially since new variants are still being researched; plus, the vast majority of our school population is not vaccinated. At the end of the day, our students are our top priority, and we will continue to do whatever is necessary to ensure their safety and well-being. Please visit the Commonwealth of PA website for more information. I truly appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
