March 2021 Update- Letter from Head of School

A Message from the Head of School

Health and Safety - March 1, 2021

Good afternoon,

I am contacting you this afternoon with some great news. If you haven't already heard, the State of Pennsylvania just announced some changes to their travel restrictions. Click here or read this article to learn more.

As you will see, both testing and quarantining following out-of-state travel are no longer required. Thus, I imagine you may make plans for spring break now - if you haven't done so already. With such a long winter and challenging academic year, I think a break in the monotony is well-deserved.

Obviously, it is my job to ask that you still observe safety recommendations as advised by the CDC and use common sense to ensure we keep everyone in our extended Meadowbrook School community safe. Your sacrifices coupled with compliance to our daily health screening has enabled us to offer our curriculum in-person this year. Please err on the side of caution whatever you decide to do and wherever you may go.

In similar news, you may have heard that both Chester County and Delaware County have modified some of their school guidelines - like reducing the distance between desks from 6 feet to 3 feet. While this news is promising, it does not impact Meadowbrook; we must comply with Montgomery County. At this point, Montgomery County has not changed their guidance in this regard. I will certainly keep you abreast as things evolve.

Be well,

Michael Reardon
