A Mount Airy (Philadelphia) native, Sam Brown is a four-star recruit with more than 20 scholarship offers. And, after examining his high school film, could have 10 more. NJ Advance Media caught up with Brown on Tuesday, after his basketball team had just lost on a buzzer beater to Roman Catholic -- a game which he scored 17 points and dished 10 assists. Ever the professional, Brown contacted NJ Advance Media, despite the blow. “I have really good vision, speed and I’m elusive,” Brown said, revealing his football tools. “I can also lower my shoulder, catch really well and play the role of receiver when I need to.” Keep reaching for the stars, Sam! Forward Meghan McCool has been signed by The Washington Spirits Professional Soccer team in Washington, DC. Meghan enjoyed an extremely successful high school career at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy and went on to play 4 years of soccer at the University of Virginia. She played in 88 games as a Cavalier, setting collegiate records for scoring, as well as being named to All-American, All-Region, and All-ACC teams. Congratulations, Meghan! Read more here.
