Dear Meadowbrook Community,
The faculty and staff at The Meadowbrook School have been working diligently to navigate the waters during the coronavirus pandemic. I know these are unprecedented and difficult times, but we would like to thank you for doing your part in keeping not only our Meadowbrook families safe and healthy but our larger community as well.
Please understand that the current situation is fluid, and although it is not currently clear how much longer we will need to continue taking these measures and precautions, we are working daily to provide our families with the proper tools so that our students can continue to learn and engage. With the launch of MeadowbrookVirtual, we are able to accommodate our students both socially and academically even though our physical campus is unavailable at this time.
MeadowbrookVirtual is our online educational program that will not only allow our students to stay connected, but allow them to continue their lessons in a constructive and creative way. The faculty and administration have spent the last few weeks collaborating and planning so that we can give you the best virtual experience possible. Daily assignments and activities are available on MeadowbrookVirtual and teachers check in with our students at least once per day. As a Meadowbrook family, you should have received an invitation to MeadowbrookVirtual. If you have any questions about our program, please feel free to reach out.
If you are wondering how you can connect to Meadowbrook in other ways, please consider joining our Parents of Meadowbrook (POM) group on Facebook, where both families and our faculty have been sharing helpful tips and resources. Follow our pages on Facebook (The Meadowbrook School), Instagram (themeadowbrookschool) and Twitter (meadowbrooksch). We will continue posting updates and photos, and would love to share anything you tag us in during this time.
I know that settling into this unique situation may present challenges. Between managing your own home and work life and your child’s online education, you may have concerns. Please know that we are here to help and provide stability for your child; we are ready to face these challenges with you. We are a family celebrating 100 years of educating together. We look forward to acting as a resource for you to rely on for years to come.
I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. I look forward to saying hello to all of the students in their virtual meetings this week.
Warmly,Michael J. Reardon
