Giving to The Meadowbrook School

To continue its tradition as one of the finest independent elementary and preschools in the country, The Meadowbrook School must rely of the generosity of its alumni, parents, and friends.

It is only through these thoughtful contributions from members of our community that we are able to maintain the academic excellence the school has been synonymous with since the schools founding in 1919. We encourage you to learn about our various funding initiatives and sincerely thank you for your continued support.

Annual Giving

Annual Giving is vital to Meadowbrook. It bridges the gap between the school's annual operating expenses and those proceeds collected from tuition and income from the school's endowment. Successful Annual Giving campaigns preserve the principal of our endowment and afford the school the flexibility in the budget to continue to offer the special programs and activities that distinguish Meadowbrook from the competition. Contributions to the Annual Fund directly and immediately benefit each and every member of the student-body and faculty. For this reason, Annual Giving is always the school's first fundraising priority. (Read More)

Planned Giving

Planned giving encompasses a variety of strategies that help you provide for charities while also advancing your own personal objectives. Popular planned gifts include bequests, which allow you to retain control of your assets during your lifetime; life income gifts that pay you and your family income and then help Meadowbrook; naming Meadowbrook as a beneficiary of your retirement plan or life insurance policy; and gifts of real estate or other personal property. For more information on ways to make a planned gift, please contact Meadowbrook's Development Office at 215-884-3238 or visit our planned giving pages. (Read More)

Endowment

Currently, Meadowbrook operates under a tuition-driven model, with the majority of each year's budget coming from tuition revenue. This model limits the schools ability to grow without increasing tuition. Unacceptably high tuition make access to the school virtually impossible for many deserving students. Over the next few years the schools goal is to become less dependent upon tuition. The most fiscally responsible way to do this is to significantly increase the school's endowment. (Read More)
