A Special Soup Kitchen Grub Day |

The 6th grade's special Soup Kitchen Grub Day raised a record amount of $1010.80 for the Church of the Advocate. Last Monday, Mr. Stephens, Mrs. Fletcher and three students served lunch and coffee at the soup kitchen. They were then given a tour of this National Historic Landmark, the most prestigious recognition of a historic site. Last years donation from Meadowbrook went to purchase a refrigerator, but this year the money will go directly to purchasing food, as they have double the number of people that are coming in for a hot meal. Thanks to everyone who was kind enough to contribute to this very special cause. |
