National Percentile Rank
Defined by The Scholastic Testing Service
"The national percentile-rank scale ranges from 1 to 99 and compares the performance of groups of students with other students at the same grade level. Thus, if a classes raw score on a subtest is equal to the 68th percentile, this means the raw score was higher than 68% of those in the normative group. If the normative group consists of a representative national sample, the percentile is termed "national."
